After a restful Saturday with the newest additions to our family Rebecca and Samatha Wood (my younger brother's daughters). I went out for an early Sunday morning run. It was misty and very quiet. I ran 7.25 miles and it felt great. I always struggle the first 2 or 3 miles but then I find my groove and just feel like I can keep going until my legs get heavy and fatigued. That was at mile 6. It is hard to imagine that just 4 weeks ago I ran the BAA half marathon. Thank goodness for muscle memory.
Early this morning I headed over to Planet Fitness to use the elliptical and do a little weight training and stretching. Following my recent injury (Patella Tendinitis) strengthening my calves, hips, and quads is necessary for me to undergo the training that lies ahead. Marathon training officially begins in mid-December and lasts 18 weeks. During last year's training I logged over 8,100 minutes of training. Most of it running. How did I find the time????
On the fundraising side, I have 300. in donations. Thank you Hama!
